The members of Lodge 28 would like to congratulate Brother Nicholas Gallena who was sworn in last night by President Brian Layton. We wish you the best as you go forward with your career, Brother.
Eight years ago today, we sadly lost our beloved Brother, Sean Quinn, to the most common way we lose our Brothers and Sisters in blue. We will never forget you, Sean.
Please pray for Trooper Mitchell, his family and his fellow Brothers and Sisters in gray. God speed Trooper Mitchell. You will be sorely missed.
Please read the below information regarding soon to be retired Brother Mike John. We wish him all the best going forward with this. Please share with other departments, officers, veterans etc. Good luck Brother. I've worked part time as the farm manager at Thorncroft Equestrian Center in Malvern since August and it'll be my full time job when I retire at the end of the month. More than half the 300 riders are therapeutic (they face severe mental or physical challeges). ...There are 2 indoor arenas on 70 acres with 35 horses. There is a wait list of 150 but the center has agreed to start an Introduction to Horsemanship for First Responders program at a reduced rate and free to veterans. Please see the attachment for details or contact me directly with questions.. [email protected] 610.217.5849 Get Outlook for Android
Please read the touching story of kindness by Brother Mike Aluise. Way to go Brother. We could not be more proud of our Brothers and Sisters. https://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/?p=1218362
Please keep Brother Niedelman, his family and all members of Delaware County Lodge 37 in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
The Lodge would like to congratulate Narberth Police Officer Michael Vernacchio on his promotion to the rank of sergeant. The ceremonial swearing in was held last night and Mike’s family and fellow officers were in attendance. We wish Mike the best as he goes forward in his career.
Happy Hanukkah to all
All of the members of Lodge 28 would like to pass our condolences to the Brothers and Sisters of the Marple Police Department, members of Delaware County Lodge 27 and family of our fallen Brother for their tragic loss. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers. God speed Brother, thank you for your service and rest easy.
Congratulations on your retirement to our Lodge 27 Brother and steadfast ally!
Nicely done Platoon 1.
FOP Lodge 28 members remember Officer Edward Michael Setzer of the Lower Merion Township Police, who gave the ultimate sacrifice protecting his fellow citizens on Friday, September 30, 1988. Officer Setzer was 37 and married with three children at the time of his death. He was shot and killed when he encountered a burglary suspect in the Gladwyne area. His killer was sentenced to life in prison.
This is not only despicable but heartbreaking. Please call with any information.
Congratulations to Brother Dan Dalton who accepted a position with the U.S. Marshall Service. A great Lower Merion Police Officer who will be an excellent Deputy U.S. Marshall. #understaffed #backdoordefunding
OFFICER SAFETY ALERT Our officers are targets and may be subject to attack at any point, without warning and without reason. The FOP is urging all of nation’s #LawEnforcement officers to be vigilant. We Are the #ThinBlueLinethe only thing standing firm between order & anarchy.
Never, ever, ever forget. God bless America
This morning, the Officer Ed Setzer Memorial Golf Outing was held on a spectacular day for golf. We would like to thank the members of the Board: Bill Lane, Jr, Joe Turek, Kirke Gardner, Craig McGowan, Mike Keenan, Mike Stieber, Tom Luke, Bob Ruggiero and Bill Keith along with all of the volunteer officers, active and retired, as well as the student volunteers and Paxon Hollow Golf Club. To put this year’s event on with such little time is a true testament to the dedication and hard work of those mentioned above. Congratulations to Brothers Turek and Stieber’s team for an outstanding round. Thanks to all of the officers, neighboring FOP Lodge members and friends who made today so, very special. See you all next year!!
The Lodge would like to congratulate Officer Sean Webber who was nominated as the Officer of the Quarter. Sean is an outstanding police Officer and extremely respected within the community and department. We could not be more proud of Sean’s accomplishments and know there’s so much more to come. Well done Brother. Keep up the great work.
