Due to the continuing rise in COVID cases, and to be proactive in protecting our employees and the public, the Township Administration Building will be closed to the public effective Monday, November 30, 2020. Township business is still being conducted via phone, e-mail, and drop box located next to the front door.

There is still a large volume of yard waste this time of year due to leaves that residents are putting out. Given this, JP Mascaro does not want to fall behind this week on yard waste collection even though Thursday is Thanksgiving. JP Mascaro will be sending crews into the Township on Thursday to begin collecting yard waste. Please put yard waste out for Thursday as you normally do. Also, these have been challenging times for our industry and our company during the COVID pan...demic. Between the extremely high volumes of waste and recyclables each week and, more recently, members of our key managerial team out for two weeks not to mention the drivers and helpers who have had to quarantine over the past six months, we have not been able to provide you the service you have come to expect from our company. It is certainly not due to a lack of an effort but just the reality that exists in the current COVID environment. As a result, while our contract provides that the yard waste collections in Lower Southampton Township to stop on December 15th, we have agreed to continue to provide yard waste collections in your Township through the end of the year. So, instead of the last yard waste collection occurring on Thursday, December 17th, we will continue to provide yard waste collections through Thursday, December 31st. Bristol Road will be closed and detoured between Brownsville Road and Neshaminy Boulevard in Lower Southampton and Bensalem townships, Bucks County, on Monday, November 16, through Friday, November 20, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for pipe replacement by Bucks County maintenance, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. During the closure, Bristol Road motorists will be directed to use Brownsville Road, Old Street Road, Street Road (Route 132), Old Lincoln Highway, Rockhill Drive and Neshaminy Boulevard. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Update from J.P. Masacro for Thursday, 9/10: They are running 4 out of the 6 trash routes and 3 out of the 5 recycle routes today. The remaining routes will be collected on Friday, 9/11. Yard waste will be collected by the weekend.
