Luley Organ Company 27.04.2021

Our most recent project was a labor of love to bring a historic instrument back from the edge of oblivion. The 120-year old C.F. Durner organ was in pieces and in very poor condition. Building a new instrument out of it was a significant challenge, but in the end it has been a very gratifying project. We're back! (On Facebook, that is.) So much has happened over the past year at Luley Organ Co. We moved into a significantly larger shop in the Pittsburgh suburb of Millvale last February, built and installed a beautiful new console for St. Anne Church in Castle Shannon, and completed a major reconstruction of a 120-year old instrument for a private residence in State College. While this past year has been extremely challenging for everyone, we are thankful for the positive developments we experienced as a company. We wish all of our friends and clients the best for the year to come, and look forward to continuing to be of service to the pipe organ community throughout our region! Check out our freshly updated website! www.luleyorganco.com

Work continues on our new console for the Tellers organ at St. Paul of the Cross Parish (formerly St. Anne’s) in Castle Shannon, PA. Here we partnered with a local craftsman for some really top notch marquetry work for the music rack on the console. The design was taken from the ceiling of the church. Each piece was hand cut - no CNC work here! We’ve just completed adding the border stripes, and all that it left is a dark-stained mahogany frame...pictures to come soon!

It's an exciting time here at Luley Organs! We have relocated to a larger facility in a suburb of Pittsburgh and are in the process of setting up our new shop. Photos will be coming soon! We are also very excited to welcome back Ed Helgerman! Ed served as the last rebuild foreman at M.P. Möller in the 1980s, and previously worked for Luley between 1990 and 2004. In the years following the 2004 flood and subsequent rebuilding of the company Ed has continued to do our leatherin...g work, and we are delighted to have him back as a full fledged member of the team! As some of you have already noticed and inquired, we have changed our company name from Luley & Associates to Luley Organ Company to make it less cumbersome in our contact info and publicity materials. It is merely a minor re-branding to make the company more accessible. Subsequently our email has changed, however we will still be able to receive emails sent to the old address for a period of time. We also have a new company phone number. Please visit our the contact info pages on our Facebook page or our website, luleyorganco.com, for our updated information. We look forward to continuing to be of service to the pipe organ community in our region and opening this new and exciting chapter in the life of our company!
