Calling all students looking for a cool job in the fashion industry! Greetings! My name is Zuri and I am the owner and sole designer of TheF0LD. I started this company in December sewing sleeveless athletic jackets to my roller derby community and am growing fast!... I am looking for some paid help who wants to help with construction and hopefully to continue to grow the company. My life is being taken over by the business side of things and I want to have someone who can produce the pieces. I will continue to cut the patterns and finish the notions on the pieces. The job would include using both a serger and straight machine to contrast the pieces. The pay is per piece. It should take 45-60 mins to complete each piece. I would like to pay $13 per constructed piece. I own one of each machine if they are needed. I would prefer to give the cut materials to the individual to complete where they would like on their own equipment. I can pay for 15-40 pieces per week. There is also design opportunity here when work order are caught up. I would like to continue building this company an am open to ideas. I also do graphic design and screen printing and am willing to consider all new ideas that fit within my brand. A little about me. I am a 29 year old roller derby athlete with two masters degree received in the Philly area. School brought me here and growing this business keeps me here. I'm great with business and design but look forward to growing in the fashion industry and learning. Bonus to folks who have an interest in swimwear design and construction. Message from Teacher, Gabrielle Mandel: Hi All, I wanted to reach out because I am part of an awesome fashion fundraiser for the ACLU and we are in need of a few volunteers. Myself and four other local fashion brands are hosting a shopping fundraiser on Thursday, May 25th from 5:30-8 pm at the Bok Building. We need volunteers to pour drinks and help direct customers. This is a great chance to meet other local Philaldelphia brands, meet potential customers and learn about pu...tting on a selling event. It's a free event so you can invite friends, we will have beer wine and other lite bites. We will be fundraising for the ACLU and have a representative the Pennsylvania chapter of the ACLU will be there to discuss. This night is also the opening of the Bok Bar so after the event, you can head up to their awesome roof top bar.
