Coronavirus Precautions for Fire Departments Automatic Fire Alarms-Nursing Homes, Medical Facilities, High Rises, and Group Homes First arriving unit send to two firefighters, with full PPE and SCBA to investigate the alarm. This is to minimize the risk of taking anything in from the outside and giving our firefighters the best protection possible. If the incident requires additional personnel and or equipment, the IC should manage the incident with firefighters on air.... Chief Request Evaluate each incident upon arrival, talk to the home owner and ask the following questions: Is anyone ill in the property? Does anyone have a fever? Any recent travel (domestic or international)? Does anyone in the property have a chronic medical condition (i.e. diabetes, asthma/COPD, Cancer) If there is any indication of someone in the home with any of the above, the use of appropriate PPE(T.O.G. & SCBA) should be required. Our annual Kid's Halloween Parade is on! Sponsored by the West End Fire and Rescue, Mahanoy City. Saturday, October 31. Forming 1:30pm on Catawissa St. Betw...een Center and Railroad. Moving to firehouse at 2pm. Treats and goody bags will be given to children while passing firehouse. Parade concludes at the end of our Hall entrance ramp. There will be no judging this year.
