New guidelines require me to do appointments to control the number of people in the shop at a time, however I will accept walk-ins if I do not have an appointment scheduled. Please call 432-2188 to set up your appointment or you can take a chance and stop by. If I can get you in, I will. Thanks.

Woot !!! Woot !!! Finally going to "green" According to Wolf's guidelines I can legally start doing cuts next Friday. In order to follow the guidelines being placed upon us I will be doing appointments to limit the number of people in the shop at a time. I will be in the shop starting Tuesday to start scheduling appointments. Call the shop 432-2188 Leave your name and number and I will return your call to schedule a time for a cut. Thanks. Letter to Shepp’s Barber Shop. Possibility of a $10,000 fine plus license in jeopardy if he doesn’t close up shop. If this is going to be our new norm then we need to adjust and move forward. It is small business who plays the biggest part in supporting the community. This effects us all, if not directly then in whole. Who sponsors the Little League Baseball, Football, Soccer, Lacrosse, Farmers Fair, New Hope Ministries, the Library, PickleFest, PIckle Drop. The list goes on !!! Something needs to change SOON !!!

I have really been contemplating ignoring the order to remain closed and open anyway. The biggest issue was the fear of having my license revoked. I can not afford to lose my license and livelihood i have been trying to get confirmation as to whether or not that could be a possibility. Yesterday during Wolf's speech he announced that businesses who are licensed by the state could lose their license if they ignored the order to remain closed. I will reopen as soon as I can without the risk of jeopardizing my license. Hang in there !!!

I can’t take much more of this stay at home order. Time to get back to work and get this mop trimmed up. lol

Expected York County to go to Yellow and hopefully be upgraded to green in two weeks and then be able to open. York County was not upgraded to yellow and we still remain in red. We will not be permitted to reopen until the area goes to green. Getting frustrated. No idea when that may happen. Hopefully sooner then later.

Hoping this is finding everyone in good health and spirits. Looks as though it is going to be awhile until restrictions will be lifted to go back to work. The date to start lifting restrictions has been extended until May 8 and I unfortunately do not see barber shops on the list at that time to reopen. We can not do our job without being in peoples personal space. I have been getting a number of messages and pics of home haircuts. Request for home hair cuts. Unfortunately if I were to get caught doing haircuts during the restrictions are in place I would lose my license. Not worth it in the long run. We will get through this. Stay safe !!!

Think when I do get back to work we will do a sign in sheet like I do sometimes on Saturdays. This will help limit the number of people in the shop at one time and also eliminate a long wait for customers. Stop, sign in and then you can come back 5 minutes before your time slot. Will not do appointments, you will have to stop and sign in.
