Our passion for national and personal independence is infused into the hearts of our citizens, young and old. Independence fosters a sense of dignity, which can sometimes decline as we age into older adulthood and develop an increased reliance on our family, friends, and community; but this doesn’t have to become an eventuality. The resources available through aging programs can help older adults live independently in their own homes for as long as possible, fostering lives of health and happiness.
