Peek in the Past: I agree from the comments that this is footage of Philadelphia from the mid to late 1940's (not 50's). Fun to see sections and buildings I recognize.

I was raised in an idyllic setting, in a farmhouse that was once a workman's house for the Radnor Hunt Club in its original location at the edge of Bryn Mawr, bordering Newtown Square. The location of the clubhouse, which still stands today, is at the corner of Roberts and Darby-Paoli Roads. I came across this and other photos today. https://radnorhistory.org/archive/photos/?p=8349 For the equestrian, you may enjoy seeing this 1908 photo taken in front of the clubhouse. My childhood home cannot be seen but is located in the distant background, in a valley by a stream.

With the inauguration tomorrow, I am fascinated with the process of preparing the White House for the Bidens. The most succinct article on the subject I could find is dated 2016 for President Obama. For the Obamas, the staff had 12 hours...but for the Bidens, it will be just 5 hours! Now if only most moves took that long! https://www.elledecor.com/life-cultu//white-house-move-in/

Tri-County Suburban REALTORS announced that Montgomery County "Commissioners approved a 2021 budget that includes a 5% tax increase - or about $29 more per year for the average homeowner. The board also unanimously passed a resolution for a real estate tax deferral program. It would apply to homeowners 65 years of age or older who have an annual household income of $35,000 or less, including 50% of social security income, according to a county spokesperson."
