Around 11am this morning the BFC was alerted for a reported commercial building fire in the 200blk of S. Sproul Road. While Engine 53 was en route a second eme...rgency was dispatched for a reported motor vehicle accident with a person trapped at S. Sproul Road and W. Chester Pike. Since the BFC works closely with our surrounding neighbors, Engine 53 diverted to the reported trapped person while Ladder 41 (Newtown Square Fire Company) and Engine 56 (Manoa Fire Company) continued into the reported structure fire. In the end, the fire was found to be a small mulch fire outside of the building and the involved party in the vehicle accident was not trapped and was treated by Marple Township Ambulance Corps. We’re glad to have a great working relationship with our mutual aid partners which help coordinate quick efficient responses to our community as well as theirs. Photo Credit: Tony’s Fire Photography
