Mascher is starting a new series! Over the next couple of months we will be featuring some of our amazingly talented resident artists across our social media! This week we are featuring the one and only Dawn Pratson! Dawn is a semi-retired, interdisciplinary artist - dancer, choreographer, musician - and educator, with a background in creative arts in therapy. Her current interests are teaching music-informed dance and movement classes, deepening her understanding of somati...cs (current studies include Alexander Technique and Franklin Method) and social justice. A multi-instrumentalist (flute, piano, voice, percussion), she is experimenting with hand dances: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68u-wixR8c8&t=36s and music composition inspired by body percussion patterns created by her colleague Judy Freed.
