We have been fortunate to have an increased amount of media coverage with the reopening and the "Embodying Masonic Values" exhibition - including a story on CBS Philly (https://philadelphia.cbslocal.com//masonic-library-and-mu/). This is reminiscent of another time in our history when we received a lot of media attention: the cornerstone laying (pictured here) and dedication weekend. Front-page articles about the events were published in "The Public Ledger" and "The Press," two local papers printed at the time. National magazines and papers in other cities also picked up the stories.

A week from today, join museum associate Brother Lee Martin, PM, Melita Lodge No. 295, for the inaugural Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania Speaker Series lecture, Windows to the Past: 1873 Photography of the New Masonic Temple," Oct. 24, 3:30 4:30 p.m. This presentation will highlight the work of Pennsylvania Freemason Brother Frederick Gutekunst, the noted Civil War photographer and Dean of American Photographers, commissioned by the Grand Lodge to photograph the newly opened Masonic Temple. Limited in-person seating is available for this free event; the lecture will also be shared online. Email "[email protected]" to attend on-site.

Watch local artist Jeff Dion, who coordinated the judges, walk you through the "Embodying Masonic Values" art exhibition/competition here in the Grand Ballroom. The competition has provided an opportunity for the art community to explore Masonic values through art. Check out the amazing artwork on view!

Reopening during a pandemic has required us to make some adjustments to our usual operations so that visitors can tour the building safely. Thanks to ONE North Broad staff for making these signs which remind guests and staff of these new policies.
