On Friday Mr. Jeff Gibson of BLOCS and PA State Rep Martina White presented a $5,000 check to Mrs. Z and the Student Council from Verizon and the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program! We would like to also thank Mr. Frank Buzydlowski, Verizon Director of Pennsylvania Public Relations and Maternity B.V.M. Alumni and Hall of Honor member, for all he does for our school.

Maternity B.V.M Catholic Church in the Bustleton area of #Philadelphia held the Closing Mass of its 150th Anniversary this morning! It was a joy-filled morning ...and I was so happy to be a part of this momentous occasion and grateful to be with this vibrant parish community today. Here is a replay of the live stream via the parish Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/maternitybvmphilly/videos/1224247587931358/?vh=e&extid=0&d=n May God bless you!

Dear Friends, Please see the message below and corresponding call to action from the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference. Kindly consider taking a few moments to contact your elected officials on this matter of vital importance to our young people and to share this information broadly with others as soon as possible. Thank you. Please Ask Officials to Not Take Away Transportation for Catholic School Students ... Please ask your state senator and representative, along with the Governor and the Secretary of Education to make sure that transportation is provided for non-public school students for the upcoming coming school year. School districts are required to provide transportation to both public and nonpublic students, even during the pandemic. Many school districts are moving to online learning for the upcoming school year and there have not been assurances given to nonpublic schools that buses will continue to roll for their students should they continue with in-person learning.
