To our patients, In accordance with the American Dental Association and the state’s recommendations, we will be closing our office for all routine cleanings and non-essential dental procedures through the end of March. During this time, Dr. Makuta will be available to see dental emergencies. The health of our patients, staff, and community is our top priority and we hope you take this time to put your family and health first during this unprecedented time. ... We will continue to assess the situation and update you on any changing circumstances. Thank you for all your support and patience during this time. We are in this together, so let’s help flatten the curve. Sincerely, Dr. Matthew Makuta

Per the American Dental Association- With so many news stories, it’s understandable to be concerned about the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19. Please know that the precautions your dentist already takes every day to prevent the spread of infection in his or her practice also helps prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you are ill with flu-like symptoms, you should reschedule your appointment.... If you or someone you know are in close contact with or have recently traveled to one of the countries with large outbreaks of COVID-19 (China, Italy, Iran, South Korea) or if you have been exposed to someone else who was diagnosed with COVID-19 or who was quarantined as a precaution, wait 14 days until you see your dentist to make sure you have not caught the coronavirus. If you are healthy, there’s no need to cancel your regularly scheduled dental appointment. https://www.mouthhealthy.org//az-topi/i/infection-control
