It has been one week since we laid my father to rest, following his sudden passing. My heart is shattered. I lost my daddy, my best friend, my rock, my # 1 fa...n. Those who know me, know that my dad meant everything to me. He raised me to be the strong, loyal, caring, loving and determined woman that I am. I am who I am because of him. As I enter this new world, without him, I will try my best to carry on the same values that he lived each and every day: Love unconditionally, work hard - no excuses, care deeply, "don't take shit from nobody", don't stop - just do, protect, help, be there for family because family is everything. I cannot imagine this world without him, but over the last week I have really seen how he is never gone. He is in everyone around me; in everyone that he loved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to those of you that have been there for me, for my mother, for my brothers, for my sister and nephews, for my uncle, for my family. The outpouring of love and support for us has been such a blessing, a touch of sunshine in the midst of dark sorrow. May Joel Louis Glauser never be forgotten. May he continue to inspire, continue to teach, continue to love, continue to be. To be a part of this world that he made a loving, safe and happy place. I love you daddy. I will carry you with me in my heart.
