The ice cream truck made a stop to visit our residents at Meadow View!

Our final season we celebrated was "Summer" for National Nursing Home Week and what better way than to wear Hawaiian attire and eat delicious ice cream sundaes courtesy of CHR! Our residents were visited by the ice cream truck and enjoyed their summery snack as well!

Director of Admissions - LPN required This position coordinates the care and services of incoming clients by performing aspects of the external liaison and education process with oversight ... of the internal aspects of the inquiry process and admissions process through standardized practices and procedures. The Director will foster a resident centered inquiry and admissions process; maintain the existing customer base while growing a new base of business through education in a variety of settings, execution of exceptional customer service and community positioning initiatives. This should result in meeting or exceeding census goals while positioning the facility as the provider of choice in the community at large. Education/Certification/Experience: License Practical Nurse required and must be in good standing with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Previous senior living health care experience preferred. National Nursing Week continues at Meadow View Nursing Center where we are honoring the season "winter" with an indoor winter scavenger hunt and hot, homemade soups with fresh rolls for our wonderful staff! Today was also "mismatch day" where staff members showed off their creative mismatched styles. Our residents also celebrated winter with an "ice fishing" activity.

Nurse’s Week Team Member Spotlight: Amber Tataleba, LPN Amber is one of the Licensed Practical Nurses at Meadow View Nursing Center. She has been working as a nurse for 13 years and enjoys helping others. Amber was inspired to go in to the nursing profession after her father passed away at an early age. Providing good care and seeing the smiles on the faces of our residents is what keeps Amber motivated. Her advice to anyone wanting to enter the nursing profession is to be prepared to work hard but it is very rewarding at the end of the day! Nurse’s Week Team Member Spotlight: Larry Wechtenhiser, LPN Larry is one of the Licensed Practical Nurses at Meadow View Nursing Center. Larry has been in the nursing field for 28 years, and was inspired to go in to the nursing profession after seeing his grandfather as a resident in a nursing home facility. He enjoys working and being around our residents and staff members and his advice to anyone wanting to enter the nursing field is to go in to the profession because you want to do it to provide good care. It's getting exciting at Meadow View Nursing Center! National Nursing Home Week begins on May 9th and we're gearing up to celebrate our hard working and dedicated employees by offering fun activities, games and chances to win great prizes!

Nurse's Week Team Member Spotlight: Nessa Getty Nessa is one of the Licensed Practical Nurses at Meadow View Nursing Center. Nessa has been in the nursing field for 4 years, inspired by her grandmother who was also a nurse. She always had an interest in the medical field and being a nurse has been something she wanted to do since she was 10 years old. Nessa enjoys working with our residents and staff members and considers them "part of her family." Her advice to anyone wanting to enter the nursing field is that this profession is "a lot of work - but it is very rewarding!"
