Vaccine is being administered without an appointment today (, ... ) until 5pm at: - Exton Square Mall (former Sears store) for Johnson & Johnson and the Pfizer vaccines - Longwood Gardens Drive Thru (overflow parking area) for Johnson & Johnson and the Moderna vaccines We also will be accepting walk-ins on Monday, May 3rd at the Oxford Senior Center and on Tuesday, May 4th at the Phoenixville Senior Center. from 10am 1pm for Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The magazine is published twice a year by the Oxford Area Chamber of Commerce of which SCCEMS is a member. The SCCEMS MEDIC 94 annual fund drive is underway. The CARES Act, passed by the Congress in March as a COVID-19 relief package, includes tax deduction incentives to help donors continue charitable giving to 501c3 organizations like SCCEMS MEDIC 94. The act allows: * Donors who do not itemize to claim a charitable deduction in addition to their standard deduction, for all cash donations to qualified charities, up to $300. * Donors who itemize on their federal tax returns to de...duct all qualifying 2020 charitable gifts, up to 100 percent of adjusted gross income. Today, several MEDIC 94 paramedics received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Chester County Hospital. As frontline workers dealing with COVID patients on a daily basis, the CDC has determined EMS providers as phase 1A recipients of the vaccine. We thank Penn Medicine for their inclusion of EMS providers in Chester County in their inoculation plans.

Congratulations to SCCEMS Board of Director member Chuck Freese on his recent recognition by Penn Township. Not only is Chuck a Board member but in his role as emergency manager for several municipalities in the area, he is the "go-to guy" for unmet needs for SCCEMS. During the COVID-19 pandemic and every major storm in the area for years, Chuck has been an advocate and valuable asset for information and resources to support our operations.
