My experience at Maggie Flanigan Studio was a moment with myself I have never had. I realize that the hardest relationship in this life is the one I need to establish with myself in order to let go and set myself free. Every day at the Studio was a different discovery, different emotion, different world. This training open a door I never knew it exsisted.I am gratefull I took Voice, Movement and Camera Audition along with Acting - each class had it's purpose and huge importance for my performance on stage. Maggie Flanigan is such a safe place for an actor to do their best to be vulnerable and creative. I cant wait to go back and do the two year program. via: https://bit.ly/3vyTiF9

Having just finished the 2 year program at Maggies, I can honestly say coming here was the best decision Ive ever made in my life. Initially I thought the studio was just going to teach me how to act, I had no idea that it would help me find myself and my voice to say the least. They gave me the courage and the confidence to stand up for myself in all aspects of my life. Not only do I understand now who I am as an actress, I also have the fundamentals needed to carve out a su...ccessful career. The in depth training and different classes they offer exceeded my wildest expectations and although Ive finished my two years of training as an actress, Maggies will always be a place where I continue to train in different areas of my craft. I am forever grateful for the experiences I had here and I will cherish them forever. via: https://bit.ly/2Nqmj4N See more

I completed the Summer Acting Intensive for Maggie Flanigan Studio this year. Maggie Flanigan Studio gave me everything I need to begin my journey as an actor. I have studied theatre classically for over a year now, but this studio gives you the honesty, encouragement, safety and standards that I have not seen in other institutions trying to teach the same. Don't come here to play. Be ready to commit a lot of your time, use a lot of your energy, ride emotional rollercoasters, hear harsh and honest criticism, and face parts of you you've pushed away for a long time. Maggie Flanigan will make you open, honest and free - the best kind of actor. via: https://bit.ly/2P4xL6k

If you would have asked me a month ago if I was an actor, I would have laughed at you. Today Im happy to say, hell yes I am. I signed up for the summer intensive and Ive never felt more free and in myself than I have going through this program for such a short amount of time. Sure, it was scary and off putting at first but what kind of behavior are you willing to portray as an actor if youre not willing to get a bit uncomfortable. Im so appreciative to have a space where I can learn to feel more comfortable with myself as a human being and bring life to this world through this medium. I cant wait to learn more. via: https://bit.ly/2OYhErg

In this interview with Katie, Oriana talks about what influenced her to decide to train as an actor, how she deals with the stress of New York City, and the importance of talent when it comes to acting. https://www.maggieflaniganstudio.com//oriana-lineweaver-i/ Q: Oriana, what one person influenced your decision to become an actor?... A: I would have to say it's my mom. I remember, I was like ten years old and she took me to see a show that she was in, where she played a prostitute [laughs], and I remember she was banging herself against the bed and I was the only child in the theater. At that moment, I was like; I'm so grateful I have such open-minded parents. Watching her in and being, yes, I want to do that. My mom showed me that the world is such an exciting place, and it's not black and white, and there's so much to consider. Q: What artist do you listen to for inspiration? A: I don't have an answer for that one right now, sorry. Q: That's okay. How do you relieve stress after a tough class at the studio? A: I like reading a lot, or sometimes I go for a long walk and let my head wander because you spend so much time thinking that sometimes it's nice to turn everything off and take the world in. Q: What gets you fired up and going for class? A: Catcallers. Sometimes I'm like, okay, I'm feeling so mellow, I'm emotionally exhausted. We live in a very exhausting city, so I'm like, I want to shut down, but the second I see a catcaller I'm like, no. I'm going to talk. I'm going to get going, and I'm going to be part of the world, and I'm going to stand my ground. Q: How do you think all of the work you're doing now is going to affect your ability to be the actor that you've always wanted to be? A: Within the two years or the 18-month program, you learn the things that take you. Sometimes it can be the smallest thing that you didn't even know had meaning for you. Once you realize all of the things that have to mean, you can go from there. Having a toolbox for myself where I know the things that get me fired up is going to be so useful because I'm like, oh, I have to do this part. Maybe this doesn't have any meaning for me, but this does so here we go. Q: How much do you think that acting has to do with being talented? A: Talent, I'm sure helps, but one thing that I have realized here is that talent won't get you too far down the road. It will help you for a while, maybe while you're in school, but once you're out there you really need to know what you're doing because watching my classmates and how hard they're working, I wouldn't dare to go against them if I didn't have the training that I have now, yes.
