SHOW US YOUR POSITIVE 2020 HAPPENINGS! If you go through your camera roll on your phone you will find many new and different, positive things that happened in 2020. For our Parks and Rec Department, here are just a few examples: We delivered our first Rec-tivity bags to township kids for some fun at home; our camps got to experience pony rides and play with goats for the first time; we hosted our first ever Halloween event; we got to decorate a P&R tree in our municipal center with things our Summer Rec kids do; and our Summer Rec program, although different, brought children together to safely play! A Virtual Race for January

Here is a semi homemade recipe that cuts down on time! It uses a base of refrigerated sugar cookie dough. Thank you Pampered Chef for a great idea! No PC tools are needed. Just use your own.

MOCK CHAMPAGNE Have the kids bring in the new year with a fancy bubbly glass of mock champagne. Not only is it alcohol-free but it tastes delicious and is so easy to make! Ingredients: 2 liters bottle of CHILLED ginger ale... 1/2 can of frozen white grape juice concentrate thawed 1 small basket of raspberries rinsed and drained Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir to combine. Serve in the fancy glass of your choice. Say cheers after you clink glasses!

Another decoration that will make you smile! Every ornament, including the tree skirt was made by the Middletown Crochet Club. When things return to normal, classes will resume. Such talent in our community! It's on display in the lobby of the Municipal Building with the others we have posted. CINNAMON ORNAMENTS Looking for a homemade gift for kids to make? This two ingredient idea will have your house smelling great! Just visit our local Dollar Stores, Sam's, or BJ's for a good buy on the Cinnamon. You will need 2 cups for a full recipe that makes 11 ornaments. Cut it in half for less. Equal parts of Applesauce mixed in and then baked will make a dough that you can use your favorite cookie cutter for your ornament. Tie a bow or add your own embellishments to make it extra special.
