VOLUNTEERS NEEDED This weekend - Sunday, May 23rd - we plan to launch both boats. We would appreciate volunteer help. Please wear sturdy shoes, work gloves, and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. ... Lunch will be served. Please arrive at 8:00 am. Thank you!

Come on out to the First Annual Coleman Classic Car Show (1661 N River Rd, Halifax). We will be here until 3:00. Proceeds benefit the Millersburg Ferry Boat Association and the Halifax Fire Department.

Repairs are complete Next up painting, flooding them (fill them with so the wood swells so they don’t sink when we launch them), launch (date TBD), in water inspection and then we can open!

We are seeking volunteers to help assist us in the dry docking the Roaring Bull and 2 flats this Sunday, November 22nd. We begin at 8:00 AM. Please meet at the Rod and Gun Club located at the corner of Keystone and River Streets. Please wear sturdy shoes, old clothing and gloves. Lunch will be served.... Thank you!

Join Education Coordinator, Emily Rosmus and Arts and Nature Educator, Hunter Kauffman of the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art on a trip aboard our ferry boats! The Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art was founded in 1993 to celebrate the life and works of its namesake, the nationally recognized wildlife artist, naturalist and write, Ned Smith. On October 9, 2004 they opened their permanent home that includes three gallery spaces, a gift shop, offices, and classrooms. The Center is located at 176 Water Company Road, Millersburg. It is 2 1/2 miles from the Millersburg Ferry Boat landing.

THANK YOU to each of you who took time to visit with us this year. True to form for 2020, it was not an ideal season, but we did our best and we had a great time. We made new friends and were able to visit with friends we only see annually. We only had one boat operational, but we made it work for as many as possible to be able to visit with us. Our Captains and First Mates were incredibly flexible with their schedules this year and they cannot be thanked enough. We welc...omed a new Captain and First Mate, and had opportunity to spend time with a former Captain. All in all, it wasn't a bad season and we are happy to have had a season at all, no matter how abbreviated, and we look forward, with great anticipation, to 2021. We cannot wait to see you all again and continue to meet new folks! Enjoy your Fall and Winter and we will see you in Spring 2021!
