I know it is a little early in the summer to start talking about this but you can help prepare now! It is always good to prepare for yourself ahead of time. Whi...le you are doing that, could you spare a case of water or Gatorade for those your call for your emergency needs. MMP&W volunteer fire and Ambulance company in Mercersburg would graciously accept any donations of water or Gatorade as we prepare for summertime emergencies to keep our responders hydrated and safe as they serve you in your time of need. Attention!!!!! Saturday, 5/15/21 11-2, We will be having another hoagie sale! Due to the success of our first sale, we have opted to go for a second one! Same ...options Ham, Roast Beef, or Turkey. Swiss, American, or Provalone. Lettuce tomato, and onion will be pre packaged, in a baggie for you to put on. You will receive those condiments, along with mustard, and mayonnaise. Hoagies are $6, and they are 8 rolls, with a quarter pound of meat. Drive thru style, pick up at 20 Veterans way. Pre orders will be taken until 5/11/21 @ 2 P.M. It was a great day working at the polls! An awesome turnout at Montgomery 3 precinct!! Ages from 18 -97 voted here today! Everyone was great ! Thank you for a great day!!

The Anderson road covered bridge is back open to traffic. Temporary repairs have been made. Final more complete repairs/beam replacement will take place at a later date.

We were made aware of catastrophic damages to the covered bridge on Anderson Rd. The bridge is deemed unsafe and is closed to all traffic! There is security camera video being reviewed so hopefully we can identify the individual responsible and hold them accountable for the damage. It has to be near 12’ tall and white or cream in color according to the paint marks on the structure. If you have any information to help us with this please message us or call the office 717-328-3743
