Reginald N. Scheifley, 76, husband of Nancy L. (Bachurski) Scheifley, of Douglassville, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his residence. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late June M. (Swinehart) and Reginald William Scheifley. Reg was a 1960 graduate of Daniel Boone High School. He was employed by Penske Leasing for 26 years as a mechanic and also was a hobby farmer for 34 years. He served in the Navy during the Cuban Crisis. He was a member of Berean Bible... Church. Reg was a life member of the NRA, PA Trappers Assoc. and Boyertown Rod and Gun Club. He was also a member of the American Legion, National Trappers Assoc. and the Skyline Drive Corvette Club. He loved travel, cruising, and the great outdoors. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Michael A. Scheifley of Boyertown; one brother, James Scheifley husband of Barbara; one sister Margaret wife of Daniel Kennedy; three grandsons, Michael, Matthew, and Tate and four granddaughters, Tira, Devan, Haley, and Autumn. Earl Reitnauer Jr., 85, husband of Ruth N. (Ritter) Reitnauer, of Bechtelsville, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at his residence. Born in Colebrookdale Township, he was the son of the late Emily (Hauseman) and Earl Reitnauer. Earl was a 1951 graduate of Boyertown High School. He was employed by Boyertown Oil for 32 years as a service technician. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bechtelsvillle. He was the past president and chief engineer at ...Bechtelsville Fire Company. He was a life member of Bechtelsville Fire Company and Eastern Berks Fire Department. He enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Flyers fan. Surviving in addition to his wife of 53 years are two sons, Jeffrey A. Reitnauer of Bechtelsville and Scott A. Reitnauer, husband of Melissa of Boyertown; one daughter, Lorna A. Angstadt of Bechtelsville; four grandchildren, David, Meagan, Emily and Ben and one great-granddaughter, Annabell. He was predeceased by one brother Harvey. Robert Houck, 60, of Boyertown, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his brother’s residence. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of Maefern (Johnson) Houck of Boyertown and the late Richard W. Houck Sr. Bob was a 1975 graduate of Boyertown High School. He served in the Navy as a Ship Service Man for 20 years. He served on the USS NASSAU during Desert Storm. After retiring from the Navy he worked at the family business, Houck Restaurants Inc. for many years. He was a mem...ber of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boyertown. Bob enjoyed tutoring his nephews in math, helping family members and engaging others with probing questions. Surviving in addition to his mother are three brothers, Richard Houck, Jr., husband of Deborah of Boyertown, Clyde Houck, husband of Deborah of Virginia Beach and Peter Houck, husband of Sandra of Earlville; two sisters, Kathy wife of Charles Brown of N.M. and Mary wife of Francis Mirecki of Conn; six daughters, Cheri, Tara, Alicia, Kathy Mae, Bobbi Jo and Emily; one son Christopher and several grandchildren. Arlene P. (Moyer) Fronheiser, 85, widow of Gerald M. Fronheiser, of Bechtelsville, formerly of Bally, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Shanesville, she was the daughter of the late Pearl W. (Moyer) and Stanley Moyer. Arlene was employed by Bally Ribbon Mill as a machine operator for 15 years and also worked at Twin Ponds Golf Course for 22 years as a cleaning lady. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bechtelsville.... She loved camping trips to the shore. Surviving are two sons, Ronald G. Fronheiser of Bechtelsville and Ricky E. Fronheiser of Bechtelsville; two sisters, Mazie M. Herb and Betty Jane Seyler; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister Alverda M. Henry. Earl S. Shaw, 91, of Douglassville, formerly of Bechtelsville, widower of Dympna M. (Donnelly) Shaw, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Pottstown Hospital-Tower Health. Born in Atlantic City, NJ, he was the son of Mary (Stockton) and Earl Shaw. He served in the Navy during WWII in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater, where he was an electrician on the USS Proteus. Earl worked as an electrician for Otis Elevators in Philadelphia, Central Panel and lastly working for Mead Packi...ng retiring in 1991. He was a devoted family man and always was eager to lend his talents to his family and friends. Surviving are one son Alan J. Shaw, husband of Pamela; two daughters, Lynda A., wife of Richard M. Hiltner and Stacey M., wife of William E. Romano; eight grandsons and two great-grandsons. He was predeceased by his wife Dympna of 50 years, one brother Harry S. Shaw and two sisters, Erma Shaw and Lillian Shaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 10AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA. She worked for Frederick Living (Frederick Mennonite Home) as a CNA for 28 years, lastly working at Shannondell at Valley Forge. Nancy was an avid animal lover. She was also dedicated to her family as her final gesture was moving in to take care of her sister. Surviving are one sister, ...Pat Gabel; brother-in-law, Ray Yeanish and several nieces and nephews. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Anna (Hart) and Charles W. Flicker Jr. Chuck was a 1973 graduate of Boyertown High School. He worked as a parts driver for local automotive dealerships for many years. He recently drove school bus for Quigley. Chuck was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardeni...ng and spending time with his grandsons. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son Charles Flicker, husband of Rachel of West Chester; one daughter, Emily Flicker of Boyertown; two grandsons, David and Owen; one mother-in-law Evelyn Stevens; one brother, Barry L. Christopher A. Albert, 47, of Boyertown, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at his residence. Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of David A. Albert of Laughlin, Nevada and Patricia S. (Stewart) Bilyk of West Chester, PA. Christopher graduated Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown in 1988. He received a BS in Education from West Chester University and he also received a Masters degree in Environmental Science from the former Beaver College, now known as Arcadia Univ...ersity. He worked for Perkiomen Valley School District as a middle school teacher for over 20 years and he also worked as an adjunct Professor for Montgomery County Community College. He was a member of the Reading Lodge #62 F. & A. M in Reading. Surviving in addition to his parents are one daughter, Adrianna J. Albert, who resides with his former wife Stephanie (Savage) Albert of Pennsburg; one sister, Jessica L., wife of Seth Campbell of East Coventry; one brother Todd Albert, husband of Emily of Glenmoore, PA and one niece Sydnee L. Jeanette (Himmelwright) Yeanish, 71, wife of Ray W. Yeanish of Schwenksville, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Einstein Medical Center in Montgomery. Born in Boyertown, she was the daughter of the late Alma Himmelwright and Franklin Moyer. She was a 1964 graduate of Boyertown High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Montgomery County Community College. She worked for Frederick Living (Frederick Mennonite Home) as the bookkeeper then transferred to the ...human resources department, retiring after 35 years. She was a member of the Women’s Civic Club in Schwenksville. Jeanette also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially in the family cabin in Lenhartsville. Surviving in addition to her husband of 51 years are one daughter, Tracy Yeanish; two sisters, Pat Gabel and Nancy Dochney and several nieces and nephews. Annette Louise (Bechtel) Diener, 83, of Boyertown, widow of Henry C. Diener and Peter Stepsie, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Hildenbrand) and Paul Bechtel. She graduated from Pottstown High School in 1952. After high school she began working at Mrs. Smith’s Pies in the office, then for Bell Telephone as an operator and lastly, she worked for 27 years at Collinson Inc. ...Highway Construction in the office, retiring in 2002. In her youth she attended Grace Lutheran Church in Pottstown. She traveled most of the United States and loved going to Phillies games and NASCAR races with her son and she also enjoyed going to the US Open Tennis in NY with her daughter. Louise loved watching most sports on TV and old classic movies. She loved her family and was a good friend to all she knew. Surviving are one son, Steve Stepsie, partner of Brenda Pritchard of Boyertown; one daughter, Lisa Keller of Bechtelsville and her partner Edward Reitz; companion Barry West of Whitehall; granddaughter Allison Stepsie, partner of Chris Jones of Maryland; Step-daughter, Jean (Diener) Stavrou and husband Steve of NC; four step-grandsons, Jason Berkey, Keith Berkey, Ryan Stavrou and Craig Stavrou; one great-grandson Riley Stephen Jones; two sister-in-laws, Phyliss Bechtel of Hamburg and Patricia Diener of Pottstown; one niece, several nephews and cousins. She was a member of St. John-Hill United Church of Christ, Boyertown. She volunteered for the American Heart Association as well as the Bally Senior Center. In addition to her husband Melvin of 65 years, Elizabeth is survived by 3 sons, Daniel, husband of Jean Miller, Galena, OH., Norman, husband of Deborah Miller, Columbus, OH., David Miller, husband of Lisa Ballou, Seattle, WA. Before she started a family, she worked for Jones Motors and Smith Stationary as a bookkeeper, then later in the 1980’s she was co-owner of th...e Boyertown Craft Shoppe. She was a member of Zion UCC in Pottstown. Barbara enjoyed crafts and spending time with the family. Surviving are three daughters, Robin L., wife of Brian Keyser of Birdsboro, Christine E.
