Please give a warm welcome to one of my new young assistants, NaNa. He loves to take early morning walks with me to watch the sun rise.
ShotGlass and I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday!!!
Halloween is almost here and every year I try to carve a couple pumpkins to show off in the cemetery. We planned for this Friday but little Zoey here couldn't wait another day. so we decided to get a head start and carve a few to light up in St. John's circle.
My handsome boy ShotGlass back in Feb 2016. He used to follow me everywhere out here in the cemetery. i miss my travel companion. He always made even the most mundane walk an exciting adventure for us both.
A beautiful way to start the day.
Please spread the word! Harley was LOST on August 5, 2019 in Philadelphia, PA 19143 near Near Baltimore ave Description: Female German Shepard. 4-5 years old. F...riendly on the most part. Got out of yard with other dog. They usually get caught together and taken to the pound. This time she didn't get turned in. My other dog misses her. She is chipped and spayed. Have you seen Harley?
I returned to the bridge to do a little investigation as to where our bunnies may have come from and found this.
THE BUNNIES FOUND A FOREVER HOME! Thank you to everyone who showed their concern. It's nice to see people still care out there. Somebody obviously got their children bunnies for Easter and now that they have grown, they no longer wanted them. So what did they do? They drop them off in Mount Moriah. I will leave it at that so not to offend anyone with my personal opinion of these people.... Now my dilemma is, I need to find a home for them. I have 8 cats and 2 dogs. I dont think the rabbits will mix well. So if anyone would be willing to take these 2 guys. They are most definently domestic. They came right up to me and seem friendly but a little shy. They will need to see a vet because it appears they have the runs. ***UPDATE*** I think I was wrong as far as the runs go...I assumed they may have had the runs because their fur was wet and dirty but after getting them home, they did pop and they were solid and their fur cleaned up so I guess it was the rain and the dirty conditions of where I found them that gave me that thought. That doesn't mean that they shouldn't see a vet but they are very healthy in appearance at this point. If anyone is willing to foster these 2 or give them a good home, please contact me asap. Thank you.

The office in long exposure.
One of the many reasons why i love this place so much... the closeness i experience with fellow residents on the grounds. If you just sit still and suck it all in, you will find them doing it along with you.
The Friends of Mount Moriah are raising the funds to fix the front office building at the cemetery. This building was erected in 1908 at the opening of the new section of the cemetery. It was been neglected for so many years and there is signs that the roof may collapse if the problem is not addressed. Please select the link and donate anything you can please. Thank you to all of you who support our cause!!
I did my most favorite thing to do today.... Walk in Mount Moriah with my best friend ShotGlass.
