People often ask..."What can you make out of a wedding gown?" Here is what I did for one client with her 65-year-old, satin and lace gown: 7 pillows, 7 ornaments, 3 garters, 3 bow ties, 3 Christening caps. We made keepsakes for every member of the family!

The number of requests this year has been overwhelming, and I'm sorry to say that I cannot take any more orders for Christmas this year. For those who don't know me personally, I work full-time in healthcare. I sew on weekends and evenings. I would love to sew more, but there are only so (sew) many hours in a day!

Dress shirts make beautiful memory quilts. The fabric is great to work with, and the quality keeps the quilts soft and durable. I never try to hide the fact that the blocks are shirts...I leave some of the buttons and pockets in place! Love this one...

Inspired by a family who wanted a special way to remember a cherished father. These 5 pillows were made from 18 ties. The finished size is 12 x 20. He had great taste in ties... I love the way they turned out!

A beautiful silk scarf was the perfect fabric for these ornaments. A sweet remembrance to display at Christmas and all year long.

Just had to share this quilt made from a collection of dog bandanas. The family saved all of this fabric from the dog's trips to the groomer, and asked me to put them together in remembrance of their beloved Cozmo. He brought them 14 years of love!

It's been a while since I've posted! Thanks to everyone who has kept me busy with their graduation and back-to-school t-shirt quilts! It's great to hear your stories and share your special memories! Every once in a while I get to be creative with a quilt for a special someone. The project was to make a quilt for a sloth-themed nursery! I made the quilts pictured here from shirts these twins had from all of their sports activities growing up...I'm glad their mom saved them!
