Every winter since 2011, the Friends of Mt Lebanon Public Library have hosted the beer and chili tasting event Brews for a Chili Night event. The chilis (and some cornbreads) are homemade and donated by library patrons and supporters. Generally, we end up serving anywhere from 25 to 30 chilis and six to ten cornbreads. COVID will make it impossible to host the 2021 Brews for a Chili Night event, but that’s not going to stop us from offering you some great chili and cornbre...ad! We sent out a call to our chefs for their recipes and compiled them all into a booklet featuring 39 chilis-- from traditional to off-beat; meaty to vegan; mild to burn-the-tastebuds-off-your-tongue hotand four corn breads. Cookbooks are $10 and all proceeds benefit the library. Purchase your cookbook at the Book Cellar’s shopify store at mt-lebanon-book-cellar.myshopify.com/products/chili PS: A cookbook makes a great stocking stuffer!
