TRAFFIC ADVISORY The Nanticoke/West Nanticoke bridge has recently been posted with a weight limit for vehicles at 15 Tons. Any vehicles exceeding the weight limit are to use SR 29, the John S. Fine bridge.

ROAD CLOSING ADVISORY ******Updated date due to material shortage***** On 5-22-2020 beginning at 7:00 AM the following roads will be closed for resurfacing. Residents are reminded the NO PARKING regulation on these roads will be enforced due to the construction activity.... The roads are as follows: South Market Street from Washington Street to Slate Street South Hanover Street from Washington to Slate Street West Field Street and a portion of East Field Street from South Hanover Street to South Prospect Street.

04-29-2020 10:00 AM Incident 20-1505 Theft 169 South Market Street E-Z Laundry (4-24-2020)... The person in this photograph has been identified as Mr. Jean Stephen LOUIS age 28 of West Noble Street, Nanticoke PA. This date, a misdemeanor charge of theft has been filed against Mr. LOUIS for his alleged involvement of the theft of laundry from the EZ Laundromat, 169 South Market Street for an incident that occurred on Friday, April 24th 2020. Our department would like to thank all who assisted in helping identify Mr. LOUIS.

Please help us identify the persons in the photographs. They are suspects in a theft of laundry at the E-Z Laundromat, 169 South Market Street. The theft occurred on Friday 04-24-2020 between 9:15pm and 9:30pm. Laundry items were left in the clothes dryer by the victim, and when the victim returned, the items which included work uniforms and children's clothing were gone. 04-26-2020 Approx. 1530 hrs. Retail Theft Weis Market 1 Weis Plaza ... Nanticoke, PA 18634 Our department is currently attempting to identify the individual in this photograph. They are alleged to have stolen $242.46 of merchandise from Weis Market. The suspect was operating a silver in color Toyota Rav 4, which may be from Rocky Road Lane in the area of Wapwallopen, Pa. Anyone with any information is asked to call 570-819-4916 with any information.

On Wednesday April 22nd, beginning at approximately 9am, Pennsylvania American Water Company will be conducting a new water line tie in at or near the intersection of Garfield and Susquehanna Avenue. This will result in minimal to no water pressure for certain sections of Honey Pot. The work should take approximately three hours to complete. With this being said, the Fire Department has reached out to our neighboring community and will have a tanker apparatus in the City during the time the water is shut down in case a emergency should occur. Be aware of road closures as alternate routes may be needed.
