Busy season of meadow installations. From Centre County to Luzerne County. This Spring we've converted a total of 8 acres of lawn and some agricultural land into native pollinator meadow. Some have harvestable benefits, such as a custom mix to be used in silt socks. #nomow #lawnstomeadows #plantnative... #CBLP #bobcat #WoodsEquipment See more

Yesterday, we were happy accompany State officials along with many of our partners in Conservation as well as the amazing Geisinger facilities team for a tour of the Multifunctional Riparian Forest Buffer and pollinator meadow we installed along Sechler Run at the Geisinger Woodbine Outpatient Clinic . After only One year, this property has been completely transformed from mowed lawn with severely eroding streambanks into stabilized banks, native tree and shrub clusters, and a very showy meadow with a health and wellness trail. This project is very similar to what we have proposed to Berwick Area School District . Check out the article: https://www.media.pa.gov/Pages/DCNR_details.aspx?newsid=748

Got lawn? Tired of mowing it? Thinking there should be something you could do to increase your property value, biodiversity, increase storm water infiltration and so many other benefits? Why not look into converting it into a reforestation or meadow program such as this landowner in Dauphin County? #plantnatives #LawnCon #PaDCNR... #CBLP #weneedmoretrees #nativeforestnursery See more

Sometimes life is full of ups and downs; sometimes stream buffers are too! 510 native trees and shrubs installed on this buffer for Londonderry Township, along with a very ecological minded landowner. Project began this past January with the felling and removal of 50 Ailanthus trees aka Tree of Heaven. A very invasive tree, also the host plant for the invasive Spotted Lantern Fly. #buffermystream #riparianforestbuffer #cblp... #plantnatives See more

As many local residents of the Berwick Area School District may be aware, we proposed a few project ideas to the School Board to convert lawns to pollinator meadows with some tree planting aspects, as well as, installation of a Multifunctional Riparian Forest Buffer along Thompson Run in the area of the old track. There are numerous ecological, educational, financial, community, and stormwater infiltration benefits to all the projects we proposed. In order to help our community better understand the proposed projects, we have posted a copy of the presentation we gave to the School Board.

An exciting day for us here at Native Creations Landscape Services. We crossed the first hurdle and closed on this ~4 acre parcel to be our future home. Not only will it serve to house our equipment and offices (pictures below), we will be installing our own Multifunctional Riparian Forest Buffer, complete with streambank stabilization and pollinator meadow! And, is there a native plant nursery in the near future? Would be a NEPA first! #plantnatives #buffermystream #lawn...stomeadows #nativeplants #longandwindingroad See more

Took advantage of the wonderful weather today to work on this former pasture turned Multifunctional Riparian Forest Buffer. All in all, 2,550 livestakes of 6 different native shrub species were installed. Due to the site conditions, livestakes were written into the planting plan. These will form thickets that will not only provide diversity and stabilize the streambank, they will also provide food for various wildlife and pollinator species. #plantnatives #buffermystream ...#conservationlandscape #CBLP #riparianforestbuffer See more

Very informative article written by a very respected colleague of ours depicting what efforts can be done throughout the winter to control invasive plant species.

Well, it's been almost 4 years since we have had to make a post like this one, so, here we go. Snow is in the forecast, quite a bit for our region this time around. At this time, our commitments are full and we will be unable to take on any further snow removal activities. This is forecasted to be a big one; heavy, wet snow, possible high winds/ drifting conditions. As like most snow an ice management companies, our crews will be out in the heart of it all doing our b...est for our clients. As recommended by many sources, be sure to get things together and prepare. Today would be a good day to pick up any items that you may need from the stores. If you have no need to be out during the storm, stay in and give the plow operators the time they need to get things opened up; they do this for the benefit of the public after all; keeping businesses and roads open. The folks that will be out working through all of this will be putting in long hours, they will most likely be tired, possibly stressed and anxious. Be patient, prepare, stay home - so that by Thursday afternoon/ Friday, the streets, highways, parking lots and driveways will be open so everyone can get to their destinations safely. Be safe out there! See more
