Join your fellow Club members for an evening of music and storytelling with first-time author and Pittsburgh-based ND alum Jim Shea ’85! Saturday June 19, 7-9pm (Adults only) Address: Bill and Kerry Boehner's backyard BYOB -- light apps will be served... RSVP by Thursday, June 17th at https://forms.gle/REHRDFJXZ33vAxyj6 Jim is the author of Get Up and Ride, a humorous true story of his 335-mile cycling trip on the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal with his brother-in-law, Marty. The book is about their 5-day cycling adventure, the sometimes-hilarious encounters with people they met, and the history of the places along the trail. Get Up and Ride also chronicles Jim’s decades-long friendship with Marty, a sculptor and inner-city high school art teacher, who has taught Jim to slow down and welcome new experiences. It was recently highlighted in Notre Dame Magazine and the South Hills Almanac.

Have you heard of Focolare, Communion and Liberation, Voice of the Faithful, or Pax Christi? Many believe that these New Ecclesial Movements will play a key role in the future of Catholicism. On Monday, November 16 at 7:00 PM, you can learn more in an interactive Zoom event with Dr. Massimo Faggioli, author and theology professor at Villanova University. Dr. Faggioli is an expert on Ecclesial movements, the largely lay-led groups calling attention to the gifts and graces of ...the Holy Spirit while striving to broaden the horizons of mission and ministry within the Church. This session is hosted by the Association of Pittsburgh Priests with support from Pathways to Lay Leadership and CCOC. The event is free, but registration is required to receive the Zoom link. Please contact Gretchen Jezerc at [email protected] with any questions. https://fb.me/e/5Sq3wZtI7
