The New Brighton Rotary Club would like to introduce their New Brighton High School January Student of the Month Nolan Andrew Nicholson. He is the son of Ryan and Laura Nicholson. Nolan is a member of the National Honor Society, a High Honor Student, a Cross Country Scholar-athlete, and a National Academic Games participant. His favorite subjects are mathematics and history. His extracurricular activities include soccer, cross country (captain), track and field, musical, academic games, and intramural basketball. Nolan is also class president, a member of the Interact Club, and Student Voice. His hobbies include running and reading. He works at the Back Door Tavern and is a member of the Holy Family Parish in New Brighton where he serves as an altar server. He plans to attend college after graduation.

The New Brighton Rotary Student of the Month for December is Eddie Yorns. Ed is a senior at New Brighton Area High School. He is a high honor student and a member of the National Honor Society. His favorite subject is mathematics. Ed's activities include Golf and Baseball and he also enjoys Weightlifting and Drag Racing. Ed has experience working for Sim's Bowling Lanes and Zirat's Auto Electric. After graduation, he plans to attend the California Institute of Technology to pursue an engineering degree and play baseball. Congratulations Eddie on being selected as our student of the month.
The New Brighton Rotary Student of the Month for November is Elena DeNezza. She is the daughter of Terri and Dana DeNezza. Elena is a New Brighton High School High Honor Student and a member of the National Honor Society. Her high school activities included the School Musical, Softball, Track, Basketball, and Cross Country. She also participated in the Interact Club, Off the Street Club, Student Council and was the Treasurer of the Student Voice. She has work experience as a Life Guard and as a Barista at CafeĀ“ Kolache. Elena is a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and serves as an Altar Server. Elena plans to attend a university to major in nutrition.
