New Hope Counseling Center

Introducing Barbara, New Hope's Office Coordinator. Barbara is usually the one who greets those who call or come to New Hope. Barbara is compassionate and helps us keep all of the details straight. Barbara grew up in Wellsboro PA. After graduating from high school she went to college at Bucknell University. Barbara has been at New Hope since October 2020 and she enjoys working with kind, caring and considerate people. Barbara is inspired by the number of people who come thr...ough the door at New Hope in need of help and who leave feeling much better about themselves. They are more able to face challenges in their world. Barbara is also grateful for the heart for Jesus everyone at New Hope shows daily. A fun fact about Barbara is that she has taught students from kindergarten through graduate school. The biggest difference is that the littler the student the more exuberant the hug! See more

Are you living in the past, the present or the future? This caused me to stop and think about where I "live" much of the time. I think I have some ideas that replay over and over in my mind. Want to do some relearning of thought processes. How do you retrain your mind to think differently?

Part of New Hope's vision is to transform our community. Transformation happens at the thrift store all the time as customers and volunteers enjoy the special culture of peace and acceptance at the thrift store.
