Sharing for our partner, Endless Mountains Heritage Region: the PA Organization for Watersheds and Rivers (POWR) has released the finalists for the 2021 PA River of the Year online voting process and Tunkhannock Creek that flows under the Tunkhannock Creek Viaduct (Nicholson Bridge) is one of them! The EMHR has nominated Tunkhannock Creek since 2019, and has now gotten it onto the ballot! Please vote and share with others, so they can cast their vote for Tunkhannock Creek! Vo...ting begins today, Dec. 14, and will end Jan. 22. It's one vote per email address. This designation would come with a $10,000 grant to assist with ongoing conservation efforts and a public event on the Creek!
