This Veterans Day, we wanted to share the stories of two veterans we are proud to have as part of our Nittany Eye Family. Upon graduating from Syracuse University Liz commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as a Medical Service Corps Officer. Liz has a long family history of service to the U.S. Army dating back to the civil war. From her great grandfathers, grandfathers, to her father, uncle, and brother, she was proud to be the first ...woman in the family to carry on the tradition. It was her greatest honor and privilege to serve our country. Fresh out of high school, Courtney joined the United States Air Force as a Geo-spatial Intelligence Analyst. As a GEOINT analyst, she analyzed imagery and full-motion video, working diligently to watch over and safeguard the lives of hundreds of men and women who were far from home. As a third-generation veteran, she came from a distinguished line of men and women who served, and with great pride, continued the tradition herself. Now a veteran and PTSD survivor, she uses her experiences to help bring peace, awareness, and assistance to the many veterans and first responders who still suffer in silence. Thank you, Liz and Courtney, for your service!
