Schools out for the summer but not for everyone at North Montco. 11th grade students are participating in a Skills Sharpening Camp this week. After missing so much hands-on time due to the hybrid schedule, the students have the opportunity this week to work with their teachers to strengthen their technical knowledge. Mrs. Lucas’ Cosmetology class had a great time recreating the picture they took on their first day of Junior year. Enjoy the first day of Junior year photo and the last day of Senior year! What a wonderful group of students! Congratulations Class of 2021!

Last night we recognized our seniors during our annual Senior Recognition Ceremony. Student speakers included: Aubrey Miller, Health Sciences Adora Smith, Cosmetology Lucy Kutz, Graphic Arts... Aubrey spoke about the need to have a positive attitude particularly during a year where the pandemic caused so many adjustments for the students. She congratulated her classmates for staying positive and adapting well to the changes in each of their programs. Adora spoke about the importance of not giving up. She reminded her classmates that each student has a purpose and they will all find their own purpose. She challenged her classmates to stay positive, and celebrate the success of others. Lucy spoke about overcoming obstacles. She discussed how she found the North Montco community to be strong supporters of the students. She stated that positive feedback fueled her motivation to continue to work hard on each project assigned to her and thanked her classmates for their support and encouragement. Congratulations Class of 2021!

Today is the day we honor those who died while serving in the U.S. military. Did you know? What a busy week in The Restaurant and Bakery at North Montco! Culinary Arts students were busy making soup, scooping Par 3 salad, and grilling salmon burgers. They worked hard packing the meals for our wonderful customers! Thank you for supporting our students! The Restaurant and Bakery will be open for curbside pick-up tomorrow, next Wednesday, and Thursday before closing for the summer.
