All the rain from this past week might have kept us off the muddy field today but we still managed to squeeze in some Halloween fun!

What an amazing night of making softball memories! We had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take batting practice at Coca-Cola Park!

At some point in the future, your child will play their last softball game. It might be in 2 years. It might be in 4 years. It might be after high school. It might be after college. But at some point there will be no more games for you as a parent to watch your child play. Enjoy every moment right now. Enjoy watching their love for the game. It’s ok if an umpire blows a call. It’s ok if a ball gets past them on defense. It’s ok if they swing and miss. Support them unconditionally and cherish every single game you get to watch them play. Suddenly the little things don’t seem to matter quite so much after reading this note. (I don’t know the person in the pictures below, but saw it circulating on sports sites.)
