Copied from another person but I can relate to this. Got talking to a gentleman the other day about my operation and where I want to take it. He asked me two qu...estions 1.) How old I was. 2.) What did I inherit in order to achieve what I have. Kind of appalled my response was I just turned 25 and I inherited my work ethic when I was 6 and that I applied it and started from scratch. He chuckled and said yeah ok must be nice as he climbed into his platinum series pickup. As I climbed into my pickup with my dirty torn clothes I thought to myself, I don’t really get what’s nice about it. Then it hit me, everyone looks at the cover of your success. They see what you’ve accomplished land, equipment, reputations etc and reflect their negative self doubt onto you. Simply because they can’t picture themselves doing what you’re doing. Here’s what they don’t see. They don’t see the amount of stress and anxiety and debt you have to endure when you start from scratch. They don’t see the hours or days you put in away from friends and family. Or the tear in our eye as we leave when all we want to do is stay. They don’t see the sacrifices and the lost relationships because we chased our dreams. They don’t see the times when you’re so broke that you have to choose between eating or putting fuel in the truck in order to go to work. Or that one breakdown could make or break the year. They don’t see the bloodshot eyes from when we’ve been awake for 3 days straight hustling to make ends meet. They don’t see the nights you’re so tired you can’t make the walk to the house so you sleep in your pickup. Or the countless meals you eat alone. They don’t see the loneliness and the depression that comes with being alone for hours or days on end. They don’t see the tears, they don’t see the blood, they don’t see the sweat, they don’t see the sacrifice. They don’t see the demons some of us battle mentally every single day. All they see is what you got, and the only thing they have to say is must be nice. Do not assume that just because someone has nice things or has excelled in a business at a young age that it just got handed to us. Some of us are out here building our dreams from scratch. Also, don’t assume that our mental state is solid because of the accomplishments. Check on your friends or family that are out there giving it all they got because the weight gets tough. To my people out there building and giving it hell, I understand and I appreciate you and I got you. Keep up the good work. Please share and spread the word because they’re tons of people just like me.
