Hello Everyone! What a wonderful summer of sunshine and rain we have been having so far... great for the flowers and big , fragrant bouquets . I love to put them next to the checkout counter at the store and draw attention to God’s handiwork! On Saturday, July 13....,,I attended a local sale right down the street and managed to increase my cache of Intercourse memorabilia. The Intercourse Horse Show plate dated 1954 was a find....as well as the Intercourse Protective Association sign. This will be added to our small heritage group which is known as The Leacock Township Historical Society. We presently meet at The Old Woodshed on the fourth Monday of the month at 7 pm and enjoy sharing our news and views. If you would like to join us, give me a call at 717 768-3926 during business hours.

Now is the time of year that I get all the calls from well meaning friends who know that I love cats...maybe this will answer a lot of questions!

Hello Everyone, Gorgeous Spring has finally arrived! It took its’ own good time but the wait was worth it.... Yesterday was so beautiful that I just had to close the store to take off and play hokey. Actually, it was Ascension Day and all the Amish and Mennonite shops were closed....so, taking advantage of the opportunity, I followed suit. ... Hopefully, no one made a special trip to find the doors closed. My dear neighbor Fannie will be there today, so please know she would be glad to see you. She loves to talk to all the travelers...ask where they live...find a common ground that we all have sharing this planet. She is so popular that people ask for her as soon as they enter the store! And sometimes, they just have to put up with me.... If you have not visited for a while, you will find some changes in our little town....one right next to the store on the west side with the demolition of the former blacksmith shop. The intersection looks very different and will be a focus of change once Penndot gets going with their traffic pattern plans. Needless to say, I am vitally interested in what happens around the Woodshed proper. Stay tuned and I will try to keep you up to date. Hope to have you stop in and say hello...Julie
