The Tulip Festival might be over but tulip gallery sharing has only just begun!! seeing my past wedding couples expand their families makes my heart explode... I photographed this Mom & Dad’s wedding back in 2019 so I could not WAIT to get my lens on little Avery! She definitely didn’t disappoint and also definitely has had enough of my shit.

Flashing back to Natalie and Jimbo’s 2019 wedding since I had the pleasure of hanging out with this crew down the city this morning for some pre-ceremony GRADUATION PICTURES Natalie’s a NURSE, y’all! These two are thee most in love couple I’ve ever photographed and, as was the case on their wedding day, watching them hype each other up and celebrate together is beyond uplifting. You might remember these two (and their chalkboard) from there Christmas Pregnancy Announcement! This proud Dad is one of Jim’s groomsmen in our upcoming wedding but I truly don’t think my partiality is speaking when I say that they are just the cutest! We CANNOT WAIT to meet this little squirt and see if he got Mom’s cooking skills and science brain, Dad’s building skills and accounting brain, or a super badass mix of both! Final tulip gallery to share for the year and I saved my BFF for last!! Seriously though, how perfect are they? Could only be better if we’d had the other 2 members of the squad there for pics. I had SO much fun doing these tulip session @hollandridgefarms this year and can’t wait to head back in the fall for Sunflowers! #HollandRidgeFarms

So I know sometimes you guys think I’m a little crazy when you’ve got a session scheduled on a day that the forecast looks like 100% balls and you text me about rescheduling and I suggest we wait until the absolute last minute when you’d have to start doing hair and makeup to make the call. I just want to give you a good example of WHY I do that... it’s not cause I’m inconvenienced by the switch or anything like that. THIS is why. I didn’t have any sessions scheduled to...night (and I’ve never been so mad about that) but I’m sure any client who would have been scheduled today, would’ve thought the forecast was a bust. You just really never know with Ma Nature... She’s got a lot of tricky bullshit up her sleeves. The moral is - don’t get discouraged when you don’t see that little sunshine icon... and trust me and my craziness! (These are just iPhone pics I got out of my car to take in Target’s parking lot... I know it’s, like, super uncool to post these instead of adding them to my story or some shit but that’s just who I am and I don’t care if I have an unaesthetic IG wall. ) See more

Wait - did you REALLY think I was done with the Christmas galleries?! I don’t think I’m even close! Between the holidays and getting engaged it’s been a hectic couple of weeks but, now that everyone’s received their surprise galleries and prints, I’m gonna start chipping away at releasing these un-shared galleries as I spend the week editing weddings! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday!

So this one’s only PARTIALLY a Christmas session... that’s progress, right? This Momma had a Mommy & Me sesh scheduled way back in April but of course plans changed so she decided it would be fun to include Dad, too! They didn’t disappoint!

One last post to close out 2020!

It’s no secret I’m a sucker for blue eyes and over-sized pooches, right? Right. Enter, the Moreni Crew. Katie prepped me for Emma’s newborn session, letting me know that if I had any allergies or was afraid of big dogs, not to worry - their 2 Rottweilers would be in a totally separate room the whole time. Rottweilers, you say? <> Obviously I was not going to let the separate rooms things last the WHOLE session. (It took no twisting of Katie or Pete’s arms to include them!) They were amazingly good pooch-models and TRIED to steal the show but didn’t stand a chance with their blue-eyed beauty of a little sister around!

So, Sunflower Season is REALLY over this time... No false alarms like when Hellerick’s was ending and I stumbled upon Holland Ridge Farms. They’re DONE done. It’s an exhausting time of year for me (that is actually the gateway into an even MORE exhausting time of year) but it’s my FAVE! I still have ONE more Sunflowers gallery to edit... With 6 other non-flower galleries ahead of it but HAD to share some shots from this gallery right here. This little fam squad has quickly become one of my all-time faves and Jocelyn was DYING for a sunflower session so it was such a blast! REAL TALK : I don’t use sky overlays - that glory REALLY happened!

WARNING : There’s a very good chance I’ll be posting 3 or 4 times today and I’m just not sorry. I don’t give a crap about FB/IG’s stupid algorithms, my feed probably already makes a lot of other photographers cringe because I post text graphics with no concern for the overall aesthetic of my wall as a whole, and editing/shooting/etc will probably always distract me from having a social media presence that reads more like that of an influencer than a photographer... So I’m g...onna go a little wild today while I’m sitting here editing on this rainy day. The day we shot Jimmy’s communion pics, I was so bummed that the sun jumped behind clouds for the first time ALL day about 15 minutes before I left my house... It turned out to be quite the blessing and we hit the moody sunset jackpot! My favorite is his REAL laugh, though! It’s very obvious in the pics which one I’m referring to... and that’s ALWAYS a result of his little sis, Shea, being silly in the shadows! They are one of my fave sibling duos because of the way they crack each other up! See more

All right, guys it’s taken me about 2 months to finally be able to check this off my to-do list, but here it is the new Repeat Offenders VIP Program! I will be raising my Portrait pricing for 2021 (Weddings are not changing) but wanted to come up with a way for my regular repeat customers to still get a break. Since I now have quite a number of you getting pictures done multiple times per year, I decided to base the perks off of that. Basically, the first session within ...a calendar year (for a non-VIP) is full price, second session is 25% off and gets you VIP access for the rest of that year, third session is 25% off plus you earn a $25 print credit and VIP access for the NEXT calendar year, and any sessions beyond that are 25% off. Baby bundles will automatically earn VIP access for the rest of that year and the next but will not earn any print credit. There will be a Facebook group (that I will wipe out at the beginning of every year) where I won’t be posting galleries or anything, ONLY info about upcoming events and stuff so VIP clients get priority scheduling. Because I am releasing all these deets with only 2 months left for this year, I will be making a few tweaks for all my 2020 customers the explanation above will all be applicable for future years. Changes for 2020 customers relating to 2021 VIP access : Anyone who had pictures done TWICE this year gets 2021 VIP Access Anyone who had pictures done THREE or more times this year or bought a Baby Bundle gets 2021 and 2022 VIP Access Gift Certificates can be purchased at this year’s rates (also attached for reference) for use next year and count towards this year for gaining VIP Access (they count for the person USING them, not for the buyer if it’s actually a gift for someone else) ** No sessions purchased during 2020 will be receiving any discounts - Discounts begin 1.1.21 - 2020 sessions can just determine 2021 VIP access ** I will be creating the VIP FB Group within the next week or so and I may or may not be low-key brainstorming some sort of physical awards for people who pull really gangster moves like Most Sessions for the Year, etc. You know how I LOVE winning shit Same goes for giving out prizes! IT’S WEDDING DAY! David & Lisa are making it official today and I could not be more excited! Happy Saturday to all!

I really have big plans for getting good at remembering to post daily... especially when I have a massive overload of galleries to be sharing... but that’s still a work in progress! Layla’s mom is a DCF member and Layla used to come to my Junior SuperHeroes classes before the world went mad so it was super special to be able to shoot her Communion photos!

I need everyone to stop what you are doing and head over to SoundCloud and peep this 80s Mix (with 2 90s songs) by my friend Jason over at Double Down Entertainment. He and I go way back to Freshman Summer at PSU and I had the pleasure of watching him begin to hone his skills at [way too many] frat parties! This mix is exactly what my Friday afternoon needed. Also, all you brides out there - he crushes weddings, too.

I got to send this guy’s Mom an almost cruelly tiny peek from his 1st birthday session last night... I personally cannot WAIT to get the rest of his gallery done - he’s just such a little ham! The last few shots of the session actually have a tiny bit of my leg in them cause he ended up basically sitting on my lap by the end of shooting! FUN FACT : This session officially made his mom, Kelsey, the first person to earn new VIP Repeat Offenders status. What’s that mean? STAY TUNED... Details will be released in the next few days!

All right, guys - shit is getting REAL over here at One L Photography and I need some assistance. I am looking for someone to help do eliminations on the RAW images from my sessions (culling). I leave a session with anywhere from 300 to 1300 images on my camera... which gets cut down to somewhere usually between 30 and 100. This is something I could definitely teach someone to do my way and it would free up a bunch of time for me. This person MUST have access to a compute...r with internet access - this can't be done on a phone. I will provide DropBox access and Adobe Creative Cloud access. This will be a paid position - please message me if you have serious interest... And please understand that it is not a first come, first served scenario - I have to choose the person who I think will be best suited for the task and don't want anyone's feelings to be hurt by that.

I know I’ve got a solid 5-10 delivered galleries I still haven’t posted yet - and someday I’ll hash that all out and make it happen - but right now, I just want to give a little spotlight to one of my 2020 couples and their attention to the details. I’m not sure anyone has ever made a backyard wedding look so good... and I’ve sure as hell never had a group of 24 bridesmaids and groomsmen make formal shots such a breeze (you’ll get to peep the fruits of those labors in the upcoming weeks). Guys, this is important... We need to talk scheduling, specifically of Christmas/Holiday Sessions. I’m almost out of weekend availability for November. December is still wide open but for how long I don’t know. What does this mean for you? Well, you know how some people have trouble saying, NO? I’m not one of those people... but I AM a person who has an impossible time saying, I can’t so we’re gonna make it all work.... With Daylight Savings ending on November 1st, options get cut way down even on days I’m going to put my lighting snob tendencies aside and shoot earlier than just before sunset. Sessions are taking place at Neshaminy State Park and I can also do weekdays. Get in touch to figure out a time! All right, guys... this is super random and kind of a stupid thing to not have stopped and gotten a picture of but give me a break - I was too excited to be heading to another wedding! I drove through Valley Forge National Park on Saturday and OH MY GOD I found a spot where I NEED to take pictures... I know there’s someone out there who wants to do Fall (or Engagement) Photos and trusts my crazy visions. I can’t explain to you exactly where in the park I was but I know how to get there and it was perfection. I’m not talking a sit down and pose session... I’m talking like wilderness paparazzi style - hilly with amazing weeds and wide open sky. You know where to find me!
