On Monday May 17th the Riverside Foundry Apartments will be doing road work on West Hazel Avenue between Jones St. and Porter St. West Hazel Avenue between Jones St. and Porter St. will be shut down for the day while this work is completed. As soon as the work is completed and opened you will be able to access this area.

MARIETTA BOROUGH MEDIA UPDATE For Immediate Release: Thursday, April 2, 2020, 1:45pm RE: Marietta Borough, Lancaster County, PA ... Thursday, April 2, 2020 The Pennsylvania Department of Health announced today that Pennsylvania now has more than 1,200 new confirmed cases of COVID-19. That brings the statewide overall total to 7,016 positive tests. The daily rise of 1,211 cases is the highest since the coronavirus pandemic began. The Department of Health had announced 962 new cases Wednesday. The state also reported 16 new deaths Thursday as the death toll increased to 90. Of these, Lancaster County has 203 positive cases, and accounts for 4 of the deaths. All non-life-sustaining businesses and schools remain closed, and stay-at-home orders are in place. In response to this recent surge in positive cases in the area, Marietta Borough Council has taken the following additional measures to keep borough residents safe from the spread of this virus: RE: NORTHWEST RIVER TRAIL in Marietta, PA KEEP 6 FEET APART (maintain social distancing at all times) AVOID LARGE GROUPS RE: PARKS IN MARIETTA, PA - CLOSED (as of March 23, 2020) - Marietta War Memorial Park, Flannigan Park, & Tot Lot on Front Street are CLOSED, until further notice. 2020 Marietta Borough Community Clean Up Week Keeping Our Waterways Clean! Did you know the most common litter in streams is household trash?... -Plastic bags, bottles, food wrappers, and many other items can quickly be transported by wind and/or surface water runoff during storm events (storm water). -Products such as cleaners, lawn fertilizers, and vehicle fluids are often inadvertently collected into storm drains. Organic material such as leaves, sticks, gravel and grass clippings also can be carried by storm water into the municipal system. -These materials often make their way into nearby waterways and eventually the ocean. -These are all forms of WATER POLLUTION, and pose a great risk to aquatic life, water quality, and even our own health and safety.
