A great week of glorious winter OI ops!

God’s creation, get into it!

He was a toughnut type of guy with some big medical issues. We had the privilege of serving him the last nine months, but after a period of uncharacteristic lack of contact, I drove to his place and learned from a neighbor that he was found unresponsive a few weeks ago. Though a tough guy, he loved our country, big trucks and little cats. He would help anyone if he could. He angrily questioned God for the hard knocks he’s had to endure, but seemed to be softening the last few times we were together. After returning home, in the 8-10 seconds it takes to walk in the front door, I heard the three volleys of rifle shots followed by the notes of Taps on the wind from a cemetery across the valley. Maybe God was sending a signal he has reported in. I hope so.

2021 AAR -615 veteran/military member engagements -6 new mission facilitators added (4 veterans & 2 civilians). -3 new programs added. -81 hours of book & Bible study... -17,637 miles logged and what a joy to see ‘merica along the way. See more

An epic way to start 2022 for the resilient few! Some ran, some hiked, some did both. Five dozen donuts were reduced to two dozen. Nine months. Last year at this time we thought we had plenty of time for everything to shake out and still pull off a live event. Decision makers above our payg...rade (PA State) did not allow that to occur. We will be looking at either the weekend before or after Veterans Day in November. We are receiving input on how live events may be possible and the board will be discussing this over the next couple months. We hope to have a definite word for you in that timeframe with regard to whether we have a live event again this year or not. Here’s hoping! See more

Another great day of Marine and Army camaraderie in God’s creation. No Bald Eagle today, but we heard Barred Owls calling and big ice cracking!
