Together again! Socially distanced rank advancement as Pack 5 is together again after six months in quarantine. Kids have grown, some uniforms don’t quite fit but we are together again. We’re smiling under those masks!

Pack 5 - We hope everyone is safe and healthy. It is apparent that both the school year and Scouting will take on different forms this Fall but we will have a program. It all starts Saturday with the Family Fun Fest, a national program to kick-off the Scouting Fall season. We're asking every Scout to invite a friend to watch as well! August 8 is a fantastic opportunity to reinvigorate our Cub Scout Pack, have some fun and INVITE your friends to check us out! FAMILY FUN FEST is built on the huge success of the National Camp In and hundreds of Council and National virtual experiences in these challenging times. The Pack 5 Committee met on Zoom tonight to plan the re-opening of Pack 5 activity. First priority: Figuring out a way to socially distance a crossover ceremony and award ranks earned last March; planning for modified activities of short duration and a lot of fun online and/or outside; long term goals of re-opening in person; limiting exposure to/from parents and leaders that may be at elevated risk; finally, recruiting under difficult circumstances in a fall where we likely can't enter schools. Safety of our Scouts and families is our top priority. We will have a Cub Scouting program this summer and fall, ideas are welcomed! Looking forward to seeing everyone soon - either at a distance or on Zoom!
