The officers and members of the Palmerton Fire Department would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We know this year has been a challenge and that this thanksgiving might be different for some families but remember we are all here for each other. For residents who will be voting in person on November 3 be advised of your voting location: Residents in the East District (east of Fifth Street) will vote a...t the Palmerton Ambulance building, 501 Delaware Avenue. All other residents (Middle and West Districts) will vote at the Palmerton Municipal Fire Company, 508 Fifth Street. The Municipal Fire Company location is for this election only due to COVID-19 complications and the need to consolidate the middle and west district voting locations. The buildings are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Lisa Dart, Elections Director, also said that anyone who applied for an absentee or mail-in ballot and then decides to vote in person should either stop at her office as soon as possible with the ballot they received, not completed, or bring it with them to the polling place on Election Day and surrender it to the poll workers. The public is encouraged to use facial masks when attending all polling places in the 2020 General Election
