These happy pups want to say Season’s Greetings! Our furry pals of Pen Argyl got a big gift a little early this year. The Dog Park is officially open.... A huge thanks to the Mayor, Public Works Dept, Council, Park Board, and our Administrators for bringing this new feature to a howling fruition. Don’t forget to tag the borough and use #weonabark when you share pics of your pups enjoying the great outdoors at weona. (Dog Park is located on the north side of Weona, adjacent to the Skate Park) Please obey CDC guidelines and enjoy our facility responsibly

Welcome to Weona Dog Park, located in the borough of Pen Argyl! This reclaimed area is the perfect spot for this new treasure. (Check out the last few pictures ...to see what it used to look like.)This project was made possible with the help from the following: Pen Argyl Park Board/Council and Steve Bender, Public Works Director. Also, the Public Works employees, A.Scott Enterprises, Mars Inc., & Muschlitz Excavating. Thanks for assisting us with this formidable idea! We ask that you enjoy and respect this facility. Owners must be able to handle/control their dogs at all times. Also, CDC guidelines must be followed. Park officially opens on Friday, December 11th. Mayor Male, his family, and 2 dogs!

When life hands you a Pandemic and inclement weather, you do the very best with what you do have... wonderful volunteers and tons of holiday spirit! Many thanks... to Pen Argyl council, Park Board, and Lookout Fire Company for all of their interest and effort. Shout outs to Suzanne Moyer, for her artistic contributions and the following community tree decorators: Pen Argyl Pizza, PNC bank, Slate Belt Regional Police, Blue Mountain Community Library, Girl Scouts, and Jen’s Salon and Consignment Boutique. Their trees provided the creative decor for our Drive-thru! Lastly, thank you to all the children who participated with excitement! It was a joy to witness.
