HELP WITH STORM DAMAGE: If you’re struggling to cleanup from Hurricane Isaias, volunteer groups want to hear from you. From now until Friday, Aug 28, residents ...can call the Hurricane Isaias Home Cleanup Hotline at 1-844-965-1386 (toll free) to provide details about the extent of storm-related damage. Volunteers from disaster relief organizations will answer the call and share your information with other local community agencies and faith groups. Things these groups can help with: Cutting fallen trees Removing affected drywall, flooring, and appliances Tarping roofs Mitigating mold Things these groups can NOT help with: Food, clothing, or shelter Insurance information Questions about FEMA assistance Financial support If you need help with concerns that are not related to cleaning up your home, you can connect with service providers in your area through the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey's 2-1-1 SEPA service by calling 2-1-1 or texting your ZIP Code to 898-211. PLEASE NOTE: There is no guarantee that you will receive these services. They are performed by volunteers and provided at no cost to the resident. However, there are limited resources available and many homes that were affected. After providing your information to the Hotline, you may be contacted by a representative from a participating organization who will determine if they are able to provide help. The Montgomery County Department of Public Safety is extremely thankful for the partnership with members of Southeastern PA Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters and other associated agencies who continuously offer to support our residents.

TORNADO WATCH for Montgomery County until 4pm Tuesday / With land-falling tropical storms and hurricanes, brief tornadoes often form. Just because they're small doesn't mean we shouldn't take them seriously. WHAT TO DO: Keep an eye on the weather conditions... Move to an interior room in the lowest level of your home or building if a tornado warning is issued Take your cell phone with you Keep away from windows and doors Stay in your sheltered area until the threat passes Don't touch any debris Call 9-1-1 if you need emergency help
