Dr. Tom Haley and Dr. David Lichten met with Governor Tom Wolf to discuss the state of healthcare in the Philadelpia area. (Of Course, this was prior to social distancing recommendations now in place).

Amidst the growing concern of the opioid epidemic Dr. Lichten was asked to participate in an advisory board meeting in Arizona to discuss alternative options to treat chronic pain. At the meeting Dr. Lichten emphasized the importance of conservative and interventional management with the goal of maximizing functionality and quality-of-life. He addressed the impact of activity modification, proper biomechanics and ergonomics which can help a patient reduce pain levels and av...oid surgery. Dr. Lichten has participated in several round table discussions on opioid abuse working with local and state professionals from different areas in healthcare, including congressman Ryan Costello.
