Perry County Memorial Wall 15.12.2020

On June 6, 1944, D-Day: Operation Overlord commenced with the crossing of nearly 160,000 Allied troops over the English Channel to land on the beaches of Normandy, France. 4,414 men died in the name of freedom. Let us all reflect on their sacrifice.

We stopped at the Perry County Memorial Wall during the evening on Memorial Day to spend a little time reflecting on the sacrifices of our military and to honor those who gave their all so that our country can be free.

This Memorial Day may not be filled with parades, etc...because of the COVID19 restrictions...but, our hearts are still remembering all of the men & women who have been KIA fighting for our freedoms. Freedom isn't free... The weather is starting to get nicer, please be sure to stop by the Perry County Memorial Wall site! A big thank-you to Rich Stees who ensured that the spring brick paver orders were placed on site this past week. If you are interested in purchasing a brick in support of the PCMW please either download/print one from our Facebook page or go to the Marysville Borough website to download/print your form. Forms should be sent directly to the Marysville Borough office as indicated on the form.
