Congratulations to Dave McKolosky, the 2021 recipient of the Bill Wright Award for Rookie/Team Player of the Year! The Bill Wright Award is presented each year to a newcomer or PGT team player who is loyal, trustworthy and eager to do what is required for both personal and company success. This award is given in memory of PGT Agent Bill Wright who exemplified each of these characteristics and was based in St. Louis, MO through 1995. Dave joined PGT in March 2020 as the Lease ...Purchase Manager, based out of PGT's Corporate Office. Dave is a great team player and comes to work every day with a positive and winning attitude. Pat Gallagher established PGT Trucking in 1981 on the principles of quality customer service and personal relationships. Originally based in Industry, PA, the company started with one tractor and two employees. The International TranStar II (CO 4070B) was PGT’s first tractor, providing flatbed transportation to customers throughout the Western Pennsylvania region. The TranStar II featured Cummins Power, Fuller Transmission, 12,000 lb capacity Front Axle, 38,000 lb capacity ...Rear Axles, Spring Suspension and was distinguished by its large trapezoidal grille, and windshield wipers mounted from the top of the cab. For four decades, PGT has partnered with Hill International Trucks & Hill Idealease. Today, Mr. Gallagher continues to build the fleet with International tractors supplied by Hill. This is just one example of the lasting relationships that have contributed to PGT’s success. As part of PGT’s 40th Anniversary celebration on May 22, Mr. Gallagher was presented with a fully-restored International TranStar II to help commemorate forty years in the transportation business. This surprise gift was made possible with the support of BMO Transportation Finance, Campbell Signs & Apparel, Coury Financial Services, the Employees of PGT Trucking, 1st Source Bank, Hill International Trucks, International, Navistar, Kitchen Family Trucking, Michelin, Daniel & Merry Morton, MSR Transportation, Neilly Canvas Goods Company, Pilot Company, Pion Law, The University of Pittsburgh Athletics, Reitnouer Aluminum Trailers, Schneider Downs, Seubert, The Law Offices of W. David Slomski, Esq., TAB Bank, Tri-State Trailer Sales, Gregg & Judy Troian, Valley Tire Co., Joe & Cindy Vargo and Family, and Len Yanni. Various parts from three trucks were used to rebuild this vintage replica TranStar at Hill International’s East Liverpool, Ohio body shop. More than 1100 man hours were put into the restoration. PGT would like to extend its thanks and appreciation to the team at Hill who made this possible. The truck will be on display at PGT’s Blairsville, PA terminal.

Congratulations to Andrew Schultz, the 2020 recipient of the Certified PRO Trainer of the Year Award! The Certified PRO Trainer Program was developed to provide the necessary skills and training to new drivers. All Certified PRO Trainers have been given additional training, resources and skills to accomplish this goal. Certified PRO Trainers are vital to PGTs operations, growth and continued development. The Certified PRO Trainers are safe drivers, mentors, and teachers. They... form lasting relationships with many of our new drivers and aid in driver retention. The Certified PRO Trainers are held to a high standard, and are the type of Proud Professionals that we are fortunate to have on our team. Andrew began his career with PGT in 2018, and has been a driver trainer for over two years. Andrew is very personable, has a good attitude, and always wants to make sure he’s doing things the right way, continuously looking for feedback. He is very conscientious of his responsibilities as a Certified PRO Trainer; and his trainees always have positive things to say about him.
