I kept hoping this was going to be "temporary" bu...t it's clear that 6 months later, we're going to be hunkered down for a bit longer & without curling leagues 3x / a week I'm going to have some extra time on my hands. Next up for our club is figuring out how and when to re-open. Clubs are doing this differently all over the country, so we need to make sure our approach makes sense for our club. Individual members might differ and that's definitely okay. We can't make a decision until we see what case loads are like in late summer, but having some ideas about process ahead of time will be helpful. What are your thoughts?

Just a reminder, voting for the PCC board of directors is now open. The candidates are: Ian Alexander... John Gillespie Pat Jolly Nancy McAvoy Lisa McCann John Senior Active Members and Family Members who are in good standing and in possession of a membership certificate (bond) have the right to vote. Only one vote is allowed per bond. (That is, for the common case where a couple holds one bond, one vote is allowed.) Any club member who wishes to vote, must submit an email vote to the nominations committee by email at: [email protected] A maximum of four candidates can be voted for. Electronic ballots must be submitted by Friday, May 29, 2020 at 6 pm. Ballots received after this time will not be included. These ballots will only be seen by members of the nominations committee and we assure you that your vote will remain confidential.

Philadelphia teammates Shawn Boyle, Julie Timm, Pat Capella, and Kristina Kesack won the Potomac Curling Club’s Cherry Blossom bonspiel. They went 3-0 in pool play and then went on to win three more games to take home the a-event trophy. Congrats!

Philadelphia men won the Plainfield Curling Club’s Stone bonspiel over the weekend; teammates Ken, Zac, Dan, and Cody went home 1st event champions at Plainfield’s annual cashspiel.

Team Lloyd won the Jersey Curlz bonspiel at Plainfield Curling Club - a weekend of big wins for Philly curlers!

Congratulations to team Green for winning the Francis Dykes Memorial Bonspiel - tied for the largest number of teams in history with 56 and the first time Philadelphia brings home the trophy in 40 years!
