Last week, our CAB had a informative socially distanced meeting talking about further developments for @phillyride as well as the impact Covid-19 has had on #overdoses in #Philadelphia. Our team also had a great chat with Rosanne Scotti, a senior technical advisor at PA Dept. of Public Health, who updated us on Pennsylvania's opioid initiatives! We also wanted to take the time to congratulate Travis Cos, from PHMC, for becoming an official member of Project RIDE's CAB. ** If you have any suggestions or questions for Project RIDE, feel free to DM us or email us!

Often times, people will say that your past shapes who you are today but sometimes that can be a slippery slope. While we certainly can learn from the experiences we've had, that does not mean we have to be stuck pondering "why did this happen?" or "why did I do this?". . We don't need to be constantly guilty of our past selves and actions. Take what you feel and run to somewhere new . You are deserving of change and forgiveness. Our past can provide some helpful tips, but it is our choice to use them to our advantage and actually grow from them.

September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day. To all those who battle/battled suicidal thoughts but chose to stay, thank you. You are so brave. The world is so much better with you in it. Remember: Your grief is not a bother. ... You are not a burden. You are bigger than your fears and assumptions. You are enough. You are loved. Let’s challenge one another to notice what’s going on around you, reach out if you notice anything different, speak out about our experiences, and find out what help is available. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay #WSPD #SuicidePrevention PC // harmony-is-happiness.tumblr.com
