Phoenix First Friday happy hour fun!

We were happy to host the 85th birthday gathering for Jack Bergan last Saturday. We thank his family for choosing our club to celebrate this special occasion.

There is still time to join our friends from the German Hungarians at their Penny Party this Saturday at our club.

Our friends from the United German Hungarians will be hosting their penny party at our club on Saturday June 5 in our picnic grove. They are well known for their prizes so come out and support them as well as the Phoenix!

We are glad to see that our friends from the Penguin Ski Club are having a great trip at Sunday River Resort.

The First German Sport Club Phoenix wish all our members and their families along with our many friends a Merry Christmas!

Today's Outdoor Christmas Market was to have had the children's group of the United German Hungarians as our entertainment. The UGH family (and that's what they are as most of them are related in one way or another) chose to still host their Christmas gathering at the Phoenix so that the children could do their performance. The children did a great job and their families were so proud. The Cultural group of the German Hungarians have done a Christmas program every year since 1964. A wonderful tradition that we were so happy to host for them today!

Families with German heritage will know that Christmas Eve is an important and special holiday in Germany and German speaking communities across the globe. This day is the end of Advent, often the evening when gifts are exchanged and opened and when families gather together to celebrate the season of Christmas. On Christmas Eve we wait for "der Weihnachtsmann" who we call Santa Claus here in America. As German Americans we hold dearly the traditions our ancestors brought with them to a new land America. We wish all our members and friends Frohliche Weinachten today on Christmas Eve.

In case you have missed our previous post we wanted to let you know that the Outdoor Christmas market scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled due to the governors new mandates only allowing 50 people to attend outdoor events. We will be featuring a vendor a day from the vendors that were scheduled to sell their items. A few of the local vendors will be setting up their tables at a local home on 310 E. Myrtle Avenue in Feasterville. Feel free to go and visit them there. Here is a sampling of the items being sold there. We thank you for your continued support of the Phoenix Sport Club. We are saddened by this cancellation. It was to have been quite the event.

Just a quick reminder that we are accepting applications for vendors for our Outdoor Christmas Market on Saturday, December 5 from 1 to 4 PM. Please use facebook messenger or call the club at 357-9913 for details.

The Penguin Ski Club calls the Phoenix Sport Club their home. For their December meeting they collected toys for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. Three marines joined them to pick up the donations of toys collected to distribute to area children for this holiday season. We wish all the Penguins a Merry Christmas!

This week Soccer Sunday brings four games to the Phoenix. The games are the following times: 10 AM - Under 11 boys 12:30 - Under 11 boys 12:30 - Under 19 boys... 3:00 - Under 15 Boys We wish them all the best of luck!

We are sorry to report that the Outdoor Christmas Market scheduled for Saturday is cancelled due to the Governors new restrictions. We will feature a vendor a day for the next few days on our facebook page so that you can still reach out to them to purchase any of their awesome products. We thank you for your support of our event.

On Saturday, December 5th we will be hosting an Outdoor Christmas Market from 1 to 4 PM. We are presently accepting vendors. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please send us a message thru Facebook messenger or call the club at 215-357-9913 for details.

These items are a sampling of some of the items being sold at the Outdoor Christmas Market on Saturday. The event is from 12 noon to 4 PM. We will be serving a variety of beverages and food so plan on joining us for lunch and shopping while supporting small business and the Phoenix Sport Club. Our friends from the United German Hungarian Children's group will be performing their Christmas program at 12:30.

Tonight's drive in movie of Hocus Pocus is cancelled due to the rain and will be shown on Sunday night. Contact mid Atlantic Events for further information

On a beautiful day in Bucks County Phoenix members, their family and friends celebrated Oktoberfest yesterday for the first time in 29 years. We thank you for your support of this sold out event.

We thank the many families of the United German Hungarians for hosting their traditional Kirchweih at our club last night in our picnic grove . A beautiful evening of family traditions!

Our club was proud to host the Bucks County Regional Championship corn hole tournament today. We thank all the teams that participated.
