ChemE's James McKone and collaborators will use a $1.1M award from the U.S. Dept. of Energy to advance renewables. Instead of using solar power to produce electricity, they plan to store it directly in a chemical fuel -- a cleaner alternative to fossil fuels. https://www.engineering.pitt.edu/News/2021/McKone-SBIR/
