Marilyn Horne Museum and Exhibit Center

Memorial Day is Monday, May 31. The museum will be open that day for visitors. Come spend some time with America's "Star-Spangled Singer" and remember everyone who has made a sacrifice to make the world a better place.

Most people who aren't familiar with the opera would recognize the character as Cinderella. Here's a fun photo from Marilyn's collection. Marilyn with Beverly Sills and Italian opera director Sandro Sequi rehearsing at La Scala in the late 60s. The photo was taken by La Scala's longtime photographer Erio Piccagliani. Oh to have been a fly on the wall in those rehearsals!

Marilyn Horne to be honored at this year's Grammy Awards. We knew this was happening but we're excited to be able to share the news. Ms. Horne turns 87 in January. What a wonderful birthday present!
